因為奧運的關係
讓我想起1996年Gloria在亞特蘭大奧運閉幕上
現唱的這首Reach

我很喜歡她的歌聲
特別是當年這首Reach
整個曲調跟歌詞涵義簡直就是完美的結合

而Gloria除了歌喉棒
創作也多半是由自己一手包辦
其實要一個拉丁裔歌手在美國竄紅並不簡單
但我從小就認為她有這種過人的魅力能吸引群眾
特別是極有穿透力、渾厚、溫暖的歌聲
聽過叫人想忘也難
每次聽到她的歌聲都會令我不自覺的認為
她一定是個很熱愛生命的人

其實這位身材嬌小的拉丁女性
曾經在1990年經歷過一場很大的車禍
脊椎受到嚴重傷害，開了4個多小時的刀...
最後命是保住了，但心理卻受到嚴重傷害
後來經歷一年多的心理治療才恢復...
也許是體會過死蔭幽谷後的豁然開朗...
所以她後來寫這首Reach的時候，非常有感觸吧！

一個是MV，一個是當年在亞特蘭大閉幕式的現場演唱

還是有人不知道她唱過什麼有名的歌？
雖然光可以把這首歌舉例出來就知道我有多老骨頭
但我還是要強烈建議大家去聽聽她當年的代表作Conga
